Weidemann T4512 in the Haslauer court cheese farm.
Gebietsverkäufer Peter Grabner (Mauch), Martina und Johann Haslauer mit ihren Söhnen Tobias (8), Philip (6) und Fabian (4).
The Haslauer family runs an organic sheep dairy farm in Elsbethen, Austria.
At present, there are 85 milk sheep on the farm, which includes 14 hectares of grassland and 17 hectares of forest. The milk is processed in the farm's own cheese dairy and sold at the adjacent farm shop. The newly acquired Weidemann T4512 supports the Haslauer family in their daily work around the farm. This includes cleaning out the sheep pen, feeding, handling straw and hay bales, stacking silage bales, loading activities of all kinds, and clearing snow in the winter. “Before we bought the new Weidemann, we had to rent a loader to clean out the pen because of all the work involved. Thank goodness that's no longer necessary”, says Johann Haslauer.
Before buying, the family did extensive research on the different models and brands of farm loaders and quickly decided to go with Weidemann and Mauch.
Johann Haslauer: “One hears a lot of good things, and the huge choice and possibility for inspection in Burgkirchen convinced us – it is not natural that one can test every machine model and nearly every attachment”. “We did not look anywhere else”, his wife Martina adds. After exact observation of the Haslauer family operation requirements, salesperson Peter Grabner loaded the right Weidemann onto his tag and brought it to them for testing under real conditions.
After this it was clear for the Haslauer family: It will be the Weidemann T4512, because it is manoeuvrable and has a low overall height, but is still powerful. Stacking bales high up is no problem with this telehandler. “The Weidemann T4512 with steering knuckle control has an unsurpassed Weidemann manoeuvrability that thoroughly convinced us”, says Johann Haslauer. Ever since the Weidemann joined our farm it is much appreciated by all family members. Even the children enjoy it and want to take part every time it is being used. “Our Tobias (8) especially likes it,” Martina Haslauer laughs.
