Our tried and tested fold-down overhead guard - safety always takes precedence with us!
Since 2009, the manufacturer may not deliver any farm loader with a roll bar because the European machinery regulation (2006/42/EC) demands a FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) alongside the existing ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure). According to this, the operator need not only be protected from the machine rolling over , but also against potential falling objects. This is extremely worthwhile when, for example, handling large bales or other heavy objects that are being moved at height.
As a result, Weidemann 11 series through to 18 series Hoftrac models are equipped with a fixed-mounted overhead guard. However, if you would like to pass through low overhead height of clearly below 2 m, the fixed-mounted overhead guard is normally too high.
The solution by Weidemann: The fold-down overhead guard eps (Easy Protection System)!
Most Weidemann models from the 11 series through to the 13 series Hoftracs can be optionally equipped with our tried and tested fold-down overhead guard eps (Easy Protection System). The eps therefore complies with the current European machinery regulation (2006/42/EC) for ROPS and FOPS protection like the standard fixed-mounted overhead guard.
