The Ketteler Hof Amusement Park in Haltern am See originated in 1969 in an area of 75,000 m². Today, children and teenagers are able to experience different areas of play within a total area of 14 ha. Ketteler Hof’s philosophy: You should be able to develop your motor and cognitive skills, while creative play and exploration are simultaneously supported.

A lot of fun is guaranteed, even when the weather is poor: Children and teenagers can discover the “mountains” or “space”, among other things, in the indoor area. Due to the variety of what’s on offer, Ketteler Hof was able to record a visitor number in excess of 500,000 in 2023.

In 2023, the first Hoftrac joined the operation; then a second Weidemann joined the following year. Both machines, 1140 and 1280, are used to transport benches, for distributing play sand and wood chip, and for general transport jobs. Both machines are used almost daily.

“The Weidemann machines are super manoeuvrable and very practical. Even on uneven ground, they are simply perfect,” explains Christian Wessels, member of the Executive Board at Ketteler Hof. His colleague Jens Tenbergen confirms: “It is easier to drive twice into a play area with the compact Hoftrac than it is to drive in once with a large machine.”

Ketteler Hof has a light materials bucket, grading plane and pallet fork, among others, for attachments. As a new water play area is currently being developed, both Weidemann machines are currently being primarily used there. As the decision-makers really like the colour black, both machines were ordered on the spot in the special colour. “We took a close look at different loaders from different manufacturers. We finally decided to go with Weidemann - we particularly liked the spacious cab,” Christian Wessels satisfactorily explains.
