Comfort, safety and time-saving with the ecs.
Since the middle of March 2021, Edwin Strüning has had the easy coupler system (ecs) as a retrofit on his four-year-old Hoftrac 1160 so that he can couple attachments with the third control circuit from his operator’s seat.
On the dairy farm, the loader looks after around 170 dairy cows and 130 offspring. This collects around 700 operating hours per year. Supplying feed, laying fresh bedding and mucking out – the classic tasks that determine the farm’s rhythm and are often expected of a loader several times a day without problems. A grab bucket, a feed blade, a lightweight bucket and a pallet fork are available for this purpose. The tasks are executed by different operators on the farm: the family itself and the different employees form the operator circle.
“We complete approx. 7 attachment changes a day, the ecs therefore presents a real relief for us, although only two of our attachments need to be hydraulically coupled. In the past, we determined that sometimes it was possible to rather avoid the attachment change or we would carry out small tasks in between with an attachment that wasn’t really optimal - this doesn’t happen any more with the ecs. I think that this investment was really worthwhile”, Edwin Strüning reports of his experiences with the new quick coupler system. The efficiency of the machine used in the daily workflow can also be clearly increased. The ecs provides the farmer with approx. 15 minutes of saved time per day; during this gained time, he enjoys implementing more worthwhile tasks.
