Vls (Vertical Lift System) logo

The vls (Vertical Lift System) is an operator assistance system that makes work easier when lifting or lowering loads. This is because it semi-automatically extends the telescopic boom when lifting, and retracts it when lowering without the operator needing to control the telescopic function. This enables a smooth and quick manner of work.

The almost vertical lifting and lowering movement makes a Weidemann telehandler with vls very stable because the load does not move into the overload range. The fluid operation, prevention of a reduced lowering speed on safety grounds, and easier machine operation all increase the machine’s handling capacity. Experienced operators can work even faster and safer with vls. Inexperienced operators are given valuable support in lifting and load work.

Vertical Lift System – operating principle

The movement of the load is described as almost vertical line with vls. The machine can therefore not enter the overload range.

Vertical Lift System – modes:

The vls (Vertical Lift System) can be applied to three different modes:

  • In the bucket mode the telescopic arm automatically retracts in the upper and lower area. However, in the upper area the telescopic arm does not automatically extend. This is suitable, for example, for precise loading works with bulk materials.

Vertical Lift System - modes

  • In the stacking mode the telescopic arm does not automatically retract in the lower area, however it automatically extends in the upper area. It is possible to lower the telescopic arm while simultaneously extending it, this is suitable, for example, for precise pallet stacking works.

Vertical Lift System - modes:

  • In the manual mode the Vertical Lift System is deactivated with a completely retracted telescopic arm. The safety load shut-down remains active. It is possible, for example, to complete thrust work without accessing the system (not available for the models T4512 and T5522).

Innovation prizes
