Our promise on quality

Quality knows only one standard with us that counts: Your satisfaction in all respects.

Quality is not an empty catchphrase at Weidemann; however, it is a practice experienced daily, typically “Made in Germany”. Because a real Weidemann comes from one of the most modern wheel loader and telehandler production sites in Europe. The factory, inaugurated in 2007, in the northern Hessian Korbach guarantees a consistent high quality of our products and has been constantly further developed in its equipment. Resulting in machines that provide safety, comfort and economic efficiency, and machines you can always rely on.

Quality from the outset.

Quality is experienced from the outset with a Weidemann. With our structured product development process, a Weidemann product is entirely thought through from the idea through to the series production. Our customers are linked into this from the start to systematically go through the requirements together and to implement specifications. During the development phase, our suppliers are also involved. When building the first prototypes and/or series machine, there is an intense quality planning for the product.

Quality generates added-value.

One of the main features for the particular demand for quality at Weidemann is presented by the powder-coating. So that we are able to guarantee the best-possible base for an optimal, long-life paint finish, a wheelblasting system has been installed before the paint shop. Even the large components with complicated geometries can be optimally prepared for powder-coating and/or painting with this.

Why do we have two different paint processes?

Naturally, the high-quality finish is powder-coating. Approx. 80 % of our parts are powder-coated. However, this has to reach an object temperature of 180°C for at least 10 minutes during this procedure. It is only through this that you obtain the best-possible connection of the powder with the component - which subsequently makes for great durability.

As a result, due to the great heat impact, we cannot powder-coat all parts: Weidemann paints approx. 20 % of the parts with a wet-paint process. This is the case for the elements that are already filled with oil or have soft seals, like axles and cylinders, and that would not withstand the strong heat impact.

Why do we have two different paint processes?

Contrary to the usual wet painting, the powder-coating substantially extends the service life of the machines and is therefore the more efficient production procedure. Furthermore, powder-coating is very protective of the environment as we work with recycling the starting material in the system.

Quality from the incoming goods through to delivery.

Throughout all the assembly steps, our employees ensure the defined quality criteria are implemented. The technical acceptance is performed in the last work step. All of this guarantees our customers a long service life and high level of reliability from the outset, along with a high level of operator and repair-friendliness, and low operating costs.

All machines are subjected to a defined checklist for comprehensive technical acceptance. The fill levels are checked, the engines are installed clean, and potential defects are remedied. After this, the vehicles are driven on the external test circuit within our production premises, during which all the essential functions are recalled and tested once again: the machine’s speed, the different hydraulic pressures, the brake retardation reading, the pendulum impact of the hinge, and the optimal rpm.

All measures are recorded in a final report, so that it is possible to see at any time who “inspected” this machine. After the performed acceptance, the machine’s finished message is notified via the EDV on the order management. Simultaneously, all machine documents, like device cards, production checklists, production accompanying list, and inspection record of the “machine’s life file”, are included so that it is possible to trace at any time which components were installed in the respective machine.

Competence and responsibility for quality.

This is lived by the employees at Weidemann across all levels. In this way, human skills can go hand-in-hand with the process quality. Through the innovative bonus schemes within the production sites, productivity, delivery reliability, and product quality are honored. Therefore, employee’s quality awareness, performance, and satisfaction equally increases, which benefits our customers. All in all: As a premium provider, Weidemann places great value on the highest standard of quality - every Weidemann employee works every day on something new. Our quality is your profit.
