Our tried and tested fold-down overhead guard - safety always takes precedence with us!
Since 2009, no farm loaders can be supplied by the manufacturer with a roll bar, because the European Machine Directive (2006/42/EC) demands additional FOPS protection (Falling Object Protective Structure) alongside the existing ROPS protection (Roll Over Protective Structure). According to this, the operator must not only be protected against the machine rolling over, but also against possible falling objects. This is extremely worthwhile when, for example, handling large bales or other heavy objects that are being moved at height.
As a result, Weidemann equipped all models of the 11 to 18 series Hoftrac as with fixed, installed overhead guards, as standard. However, if you would like to pass through low overhead height of clearly below 2 m, the fixed-mounted overhead guard is normally too high.
The solution by Weidemann: The fold-down overhead guard eps (Easy Protection System)!
Most Weidemann models from the 11 series through to the 13 series Hoftracs can be optionally equipped with our tried and tested fold-down overhead guard eps (Easy Protection System). The eps therefore complies with the current European machinery regulation (2006/42/EC) for ROPS and FOPS protection like the standard fixed-mounted overhead guard.
