The "Hotel am Badersee" is located in idyllic Grainau. The name of the four-star hotel says it all!

The name Badersee comes from the Bader family, the former owners of the small lake. In winter, the lake never freezes because it is supplied with the right temperature and mineral balance by underground springs. Therefore, the temperature of the Bader lake is never below 5 °C but also never above 11 °C. Another historical feature: the bronze statue of a mermaid lies in the lake at a depth of about 18 metres. Who sank this statue there will probably never be known: Either the wife of the town councillor Rudhart von Schwaigwang or King Ludwig II himself could be responsible.

Main uses in winter.

Since November 2018, the conference and holiday hotel at Badersee has owned a Weidemann telescopic wheel loader. The 2070LPT is mainly used in winter. Equipped with a snow blade and a salt spreader, it clears the walkways and car entrances of snow. Due to the low height of the underground car park, the hotel opted for the low-position variant of the telescopic wheel loader. "This way, the low underground car park entrance is absolutely passable for our machine," says the house technician Ferdinand Ammer. He is one of a total of four employees who use the machine several times a week for work that needs to be done.

Maintenance work in summer.

The hotel has 135 rooms, 22 modern meeting, creative and group rooms, a restaurant with winter garden and outdoor terrace, a fully equipped coworking office and a spacious spa area. A total of 95 employees take care of the well-being of the hotel and conference guests every day. n the summer, sweeping work on the access roads with the telescopic wheel loader is the main task, but unloading food and drinks from trucks is also part of the 2070LPT's duties. "Actually, we do all the tasks for which we need mechanical support with the machine. We have even lifted new kitchen equipment over a hotel window before. The telescopic arm was perfectly suited for that," explains Ferdinand Ammer. From time to time, a work basket is borrowed from a neighbouring farmer to cut the trees or to put up the Christmas lights in winter.

Quick decision for a Weidemann.

Before the Weidemann came to Badersee, the hotel used an old Unimog. When this had become obsolete, the hotel looked for alternatives. They quickly became aware of Weidemann and the possibility of a low cab. Since the Weidemann sales partner Hans Völk was already known, the decision was made in favour of the Weidemann 2070LPT. All employees who work with the machine are convinced of the driving comfort and absolutely do not want to miss their Weidemann any more.
