T4512 - small machine with a large application radius
E. Göttig GmbH has been an established name in tent construction and events equipment in North Hesse for more than 40 years now.
The family-run business from Fuldatal near Kassel also includes a horse boarding facility at the Waldgut Höhnscheid, which was set up as a training and rehabilitation center. Two different operational directions, both using the Weidemann T4512 telehandler. Stefan Göttig has been driving a Weidemann T4512 since 2012: “The compact dimensions, the stability and the payload of 1.2 t convinced me at the time. We can no longer do without this machine in daily use. We can use it to perform many different work tasks with ease in our operations. Driving and working is efficient and all operators really enjoy it”. Therefore, this machine quickly became an indispensable working tool for the entire family-run business. It is therefore no wonder that the Göttig family bought another T4512 in 2017, thus replacing the existing machine with the same type. “We see it from a business point of view: the T4512 was replaced by a new machine at our company, as this allows us to use the latest technology always. Given the high utility value of the loader, it is absolutely worth it”, the entrepreneur continues.
Event setup with special requirements.
Stefan Göttig used the new machine to build a tent city for a trade fair event in September 2017 in the concert garden of the Kongresspalais [large event centre] in Kassel. The concert garden can only be reached through a narrow gate. The difficulty was that all of the components had to be transported with a crane over the roofing surface of a pagoda corridor. "In such a case, we can easily bring the T4512 to the venue on a trailer and work with it on-site. The concert garden has a narrow gate access, which we cannot get through with our tent components. But the compact telehandler could drive through the gate so we could take care of the parts logistics with the machine in the concert garden behind the gate access. This saved us time and money,” says Stefan Göttig about this special application. The mobility and compactness of the telehandler are crucial advantages.
Around horses.
The horses on the Höhnscheid forest estate are well looked after with the T4512. The idyllically situated horse boarding facility has a holistic approach where the topics of full-service care with flawless and dust-free feed, treatment (aqua-training, rehabilitation measures and offers with light and heat therapy), care and development through animal healing practice determine the orientation. 20 spaciously stalls can be found on the farm. In addition, there are 7 hectares of adjoining pasture land as well as an exercise hall and an outdoor riding area - horses, what more could you want!
This branch of the family business is run by the daughter Larissa Göttig and her partner Tobias Pflug. They use the telehandler to complete any and all work, such as moving straw and feed bales, screeding the riding arena with the track leveller, mucking out the stalls, clearing droppings from the paddocks, mulching the green areas and cleaning the gutters. "Here on the horse farm, the T4512 is of course in its element too. I say: optimal size with optimum manoeuvrability, excellent stability - everything that is needed on our farm”, sums up Tobias Pflug, while Larissa Göttig adds: "I used to drive it a lot, but Tobias just will not give it back any more”.
