The joiner’s workshop needs a Weidemann.

Master joiner Jens Denhof runs a joinery with six employees, two apprentices and a Weidemann in Buchenberg in North Hesse.

He offers services for windows, doors, interior construction and custom furniture from his site throughout the district and beyond. In doing so, heavy loading activities naturally arise repeatedly. The raw material is supplied as well as stored and outsourced during the production process. The manufactured items have to be loaded for transportation to the customer. Jens Denhof used to have a forklift for these tasks. It had various hydraulic connections to fulfil the demands. “Although it worked, it was a makeshift solution,” says Jens Denhof. “When Weidemann brought out the first compact telehandler in 2009 with the T4512, I immediately put it on my wish list. However, it did remain a wish to begin with, as we already had a solution.”

It was only in 2020 that a friend within the village, who already had a Weidemann, ensured that a red machine also moved into the joinery. The friend gave the Weidemann specialist Franca Gerhold from the Weidemann distributor Chr. Janson Landmaschinen the heads up: “Drive by Jens, he really needs a Weidemann.” No sooner said than done: In the winter of 2020, a Weidemann T4512 was delivered to Buchenberg. “The size is perfect for us,” says the company proprietor, “it is manoeuvrable enough to handle the long boards in the warehouse. At the same time, it has enough power for almost all loading works.”

The stability and off-road capability of the compact telehandler are particularly well received. It can manoeuvre much better on uneven terrain as well as in snow, ice and rain than the forklift. Furthermore, the loader is so intuitive in operation that all employees are able to operate it.

Jens Denhof is also always happily seen with his Weidemann in the village. Alongside his friend and his Weidemann, the village community was able to build the new fire station. “And in the winter, they all look forward to me clearing the village with the snow blower,” the master joiner laughs. This explains the Pisten Bully sticker providing the Weidemann with individuality.
