Equitana Innovation Award for T4512e

The Equitana Innovation Award is one of the most prestigious international awards in the equestrian industry.

The independent jury of experts awarded the prestigious Equitana Innovation Awards 2023 on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Awards were presented for 11 outstanding product innovations in four different categories related to the professional equipment of equestrian businesses and the equipping of horses and riders. The jury also awarded a special prize in the Buildings & Technology category. 

Weidemann's fully electric, compact telehandler T4512e won the silver Equitana Innovation Award in the Vehicles and Trailers category. The jury was impressed by the machine's performance, which is customized to operational requirements, and the innovative battery management system (BMS), which features significantly, increased charging currents, preheating to operating temperature, short-term provision of power peaks and permanent monitoring of the battery temperature. The BMS increases the efficiency and the service life of the battery and categorically rules out deep discharge.

Background:

The diesel-powered T4512 by Weidemann has been running very successfully in equestrian businesses for over a decade now. Due to its extremely compact dimensions and the unique performance for this machine segment of 1.25 t payload, together with a remarkable 4.50 m lifting height, it offers an enormously broad coverage of the scope of work to be done. Further development of this telehandler in terms of drive with a lithium-ion battery enables customers to also work exhaust-free and with low noise and, if necessary, to be able to provide the power supply by means of their own PV system.
