Weidemann Loader as the all-rounder application for the North-Hesse Göbel hotel group. The Göbel hotel group, one of the largest hotel concerns in Germany, have come to appreciate the help which the Weidemann loader provides for day to day hotel business activities. The first Hoftrac was acquired in 2010 and has been mainly utilised at the flagship “Göbel’s Landhotel Willingen” since then. Eleven of the twelve hotels now have their own Weidemann wheel loader or telehandler.
The family managed hotels from the Willinger hotel family of Gert Göbel are all located in the heart of Germany and one does not just find award winning 4 star spar hotels in the company´s portfolio, but also a 5 star castle hotel as well as a company-owned brewery, which successfully brews “strong beer” and the so-called Dorf Almen, a self-developed gastronomy concept from Gert Göbel. People on short breaks, those who love spas, families and business people all feel at home in the beautiful hotels. Continuous investment, improvements to quality standards and well-maintained and cared for hotel property are intrinsic elements within Gert Gobel´s company strategy. The machines from Weidemann are utilised for applications here and contribute considerably to the attractiveness of the hotels. They have year-round applications and become an “irreplaceable colleague when carrying out the work involved” is how building services manager Matthias Hoffmann describes them. The easy to use loader can be equipped with various attachments and can be deployed in highly differing areas, the rapid interchange of attachments is also important for a smooth sequence of operations. The loaders do not have an assigned driver – they are operated by different members of the staff according to the requirements involved. “The staff actually start to argue about who is allowed to operate the loader - the simple operability makes this possible“, revealed Andreas Witsch, Hotel Director at the “Göbel’s Seehotel Diemelsee“ at the lake of the same name. The machine locations rotate continuously so that, according to every requirement, a suitable machine is always available for the works that occur.
A 1370 is currently utilised in Heringhausen at “Göbel’s Seehotel Diemelsee”. It is an important help for all the tasks which crop up around the hotel: It provides assistance when sun loungers, tables and chairs need to be brought outside again in Spring. It is also utilised a lot in this season for maintaining the garden and park areas, transporting any vegetation and grass cuttings which result from the horticultural works. Its compact construction design and very good manoeuvrability enable the 1370 to access almost every area.
Sweeping roads, working as a snowplough and spreading salt or grit in Winter are also tasks where the Weidemann products regularly perform applications. “We still had the salt spreader mounted on as late as the beginning of May this year”, said Andreas Witsch. Alongside the day to day tasks which occur, the 1370 is currently being utilised on the construction site for the new attractive and high-quality chalet park at the Diemelsee. Its main tasks here are moving stones, gravel, soil and bark. It is also utilised for transporting the trees which will be planted in the park. A total of 20 holiday homes will be created there by 2018, which will not only be available for rental but also for sale. The stylish and comfortable furnishing and equipment enable the houses to provide the perfect holiday destination for every season. The “Diemelsteig” hiking path can be discovered in Summer and one can swim in the Diemelsee, while the ski jumping world cup location at Willingen is close by when one is interested in skiing. The comprehensive offers from the lake hotel can be utilised at the same time.
