The new Weidemann 1280 of the Danish housing association ALBOA is used in a variety of ways. It was a little bit like inspecting a new flat when the head caretaker Rasmus Andersen of the housing association ALBOA in Aarhus, Denmark had to choose a new farm loader: The loader had to at least have space to hold a sofa.

“We achieved this by equipping the machine with a large bucket. It is important to us that we can also move a sofa or other furniture with the loader. It really has to be able to tackle a wide range of tasks”, explains Rasmus Andersen. ALBOA stands for Almen Boligorganisation Aarhus. The company leases and manages over 7,000 flats. Nearly 500 of them are located in the Søndervangen residential area in the district of Viby, where Rasmus Andersen and his team are responsible for all of the practical work. "We had an older farm loader from a different brand, which urgently had to be replaced. In the end, there were several reasons why we chose a Weidemann: On the one hand, our Poul C. Pedersen from the Weidemann importer Stemas gave us the best offer and was able to deliver it the fastest. On the other hand, Stemas and Weidemann was very strongly recommended by the company we use for the larger civil engineering projects”, says Rasmus Andersen. Unfortunately, there was a setback right away: Already on the day when Stemas delivered the new Weidemann 1280, an oil hose burst. “Something like this happens and of course you have to deal with it”, says Rasmus Andersen. “Especially since we have never had to call Poul C. Pedersen again after that. The machine has been running flawlessly since then. During everyday work, we are three to four people who take turns on the Weidemann. None of us has anything to complain about”.

Sandboxes and equipment.

The cooperative uses the machine for many different tasks: from mowing to loading wood chips to changing the sand in sandboxes around the residential area. In addition, waste is collected with the Weidemann. "With so many houses, we often also have to dispose of large and heavy objects. With the large bucket, the Weidemann can move kitchen appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, etc. as well as sofa beds”, explains the caretaker.

Thanks to its small dimensions, the Hoftrac® can also be used on paths and areaways in the residential area. And if the Danish weather gods send snow later in the year, then the ALBOA team is ready. The Weidemann 1280 was delivered specially with a matching snow plough.
