The historical monument preservation company Denkmalpflege Mühlhausen is a traditional family-run business with around 70 employees who operate throughout Germany. Since 2013, a Weidemann T4512 has supported this team of restorers, stonecutters, masons and carpenters in their work restoring and preserving historical monuments.

As a nimble and agile all-rounder, it lifts stones and slates to lofty heights and loads bulk materials onto the company’s skip and generally helps with lifting and loading tasks all summer long. “Because we travel all over Germany, it was important that the telehandler was easy to load”, explains owner Peter Huschenbeth. However, the compact telehandler is also needed in the winter: equipped with a snowplough and salt spreader, it is used to clear footpaths and plots of land. For all tasks, the T4512 has to be easy to operate, as it is driven by a large number of different operators at the various work sites. “For this reason, all our employees are trained on our industrial trucks. Afterwards, operating the Weidemann is child’s play”, says Peter Huschenbeth.
